Philip Daniel Ostrander

Philip Daniel Ostrander, 72, of Freedom, formerly of Rochester, passed away on Saturday November 9, 2024, after a 23-year battle with kidney disease. Born on January 21, 1952, in Sewickley, PA, he was the son of the late Margaret and Daniel Ostrander. Philip retired from Horsehead Corporation, but also worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator in Mercer, PA. Prior to his illness, he had a dump truck that he loved having and fought everyday to have again. Philip also enjoyed working on things around the house inside and out, and maintaining his vehicles. But most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Philip will be sadly missed his wife of 53 years, Marylin; daughters, Tammy (Matt) Noll, of Rochester, and Tori (Robert) Goettman, Beaver; brothers, Harold (Kay) Ostrander, Mark (Sandy) Ostrander; brother-in-law, Garry (Patricia) Neely; sisters-in-law, Linda Ginther, and Patricia Freed; and his grandchildren, Brandon (Chelsea) Noll, Madison Goettman, Jordin (Gavin Szymanski) Noll, Robert Goettman Jr., Haley Goettman, and Brooke Goettman. Friends will be received on Thursday November 14, 2024, in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009, from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday November 15, 2024 at 11am. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
