Raymond F. Suchanec

Raymond F. Suchanec, 87, of Brighton Twp., entered eternal rest on Saturday June 9th 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 24th, 1930, in McKees Rocks the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Sobek) Suchanec. He played semi-pro football for the McKees Rocks Rangers. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He was retired from J&L Steel Mill. Raymond served in the Army with the 82nd Airborne. He had the distinction of jumping on a detonated atomic bomb in Yucca Flats, Nevada. He enjoyed traveling, and spending time at the family summer home in Rehoboth Beach, DE and winter months in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Dolores Miller Suchanec; Four children, Gary (Coleen) Suchanec, David Suchanec and Suzanne, Karen (Scott) Hopkins, and Debi McCreary; thirteen grandchildren; Ryan (Kris) Suchanec, Kelly (Manuel) Mastoris, Brent (Jackie) Fisher, Aimee Robinson, Lorie (Joe) Chesnut, Justin (Olivia) Suchanec, and Patrick (Allie) Suchanec; 13 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Aiden, Antoni, Alex, Bryce, Jaxson, Brennan, Cooper, Bella, Maya, Payton, Hunter, Harlee, and one due in November; a brother, John (Reid) Suchanec; a sister, Rosemarie (John) Grizzard, a sister-in-law, Liz Suchanec, and a son-in-law Bill Fisher.

Along with his parents and grandparents, he is preceded in death by a nephew Jeff Suchanec; a daughter-in-law, Kim Suchanec; two brothers, Steve and Richard Suchanec and a sister-in-law Barb Suchanec

A memorial visitation will be held in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 3rd Street, Beaver PA 15009 on JUNE 30, 2018 from 11am until the time of Memorial Service at 12pm officiated by Rev. Kenneth McGaffic. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
