Richard W. Carnahan, 64 of Beaver passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 7, 2015.
Born March 10, 1951 in Rochester, he was a son of the late John and Eileen Carnahan and had been a resident of Beaver all of his life. A 1969 graduate of Beaver Area High School and a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, he had retired in 2014 as the manager of Shenango China Area Credit Union in New Castle where he had continued to work as a consultant. He was active in credit union activities and memberships. Rick was an avid golfer and member of the BVGA. During his retirement he began his “dream job’ as an employee working in the cart barn at Rolling Acres Golf Course.
He is survived by wife of nearly 39 years, Evamarie Bentley Carnahan, a son, Benjamin R. Carnahan, Beaver, 2 daughters, Rachel E. Carnahan, Marina, CA, Leah M. Carnahan, Beaver and two adored grandchildren, Ali and Elijah. Rick is also survived by a sister, Cindy (Tom) Walthour, Geneva, IL, 2 brothers, Terry (Sue) Carnahan, Centennial, CO, Robert Carnahan, Florence, SC, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Friends will be received Monday from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-9:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver where a service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am. Private interment will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
