Richard Joseph Mccool

Richard Joseph McCool, Jr., 80, of Beaver, Pennsylvania, moved to his Heavenly home while sleeping peacefully December 1, 2021. He was born January 7, 1941, in Vandegrift, PA; the son of the late Richard and Helen (McClafferty) McCool. Rich was one of the sweetest and most selfless men one would ever meet. His service to church and the Lord began at an early age as an altar boy at St. Celcia’s Roman Catholic Church. As an active member of Christian Assembly of Industry, PA for over 40 years, he was part of the Homeless Ministry Team, drove busloads of children to and from church, provided rides for many, was an usher, and helped set up donuts and coffee before Sunday morning services. After graduation from Beaver Area High School in 1958, Richard enlisted in the Army and served in Germany. Upon Honorable Discharge, he earned his Associate degree in Computer Programming. He worked at J & L Steel until it closed and then worked as an independent contractor for many companies His love, acceptance, and sense of humor will be especially missed by his family; his partner in life, caregiver and wife, Marcia (Maybray) McCool; his sister Maureen (William) Brew; a sister-in-law, Bonalyn Maybray; his children, Tammy (Kevin) Hoskins, Chesterfield, VA; Julie Bessell, Fallston, PA; Tracy (Lynn Cairns) McCool, Wesley Chapel, FL; Amy (Rich Hildebrand) Rex, Industry, PA, Greg McCool, of Raccoon Twp., and David (Linda) McCool, Freedom, PA; 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Richard’s loving caretakers, Iesha Anderson and Darla Handlow. Friends will be received Monday, December 6, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p. m. to 8 p.m. at Christian Assembly Church, 6241 Tuscarawas Road, Industry. PA 15052, where a Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 11 AM.
