Richard L. Strouss

Richard Lowell Strouss, 83 of Beaver passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Heritage Valley Hospital, Beaver.

Born October 16, 1931 in East Liverpool, Oh, he was a son of the late Ellis and Mary Strouss and had retired from St. Joe Lead, Potter Twp., and later from US Airways.

A veteran of the US Army, Dick loved life to the fullest and had a variety of interests including golf, sailing, hunting, skiing and fishing. He had a love for travel and was a talented artist, woodworker, and guitarist. He enjoyed old airplanes and was a member and volunteer with Air Heritage, Inc., at the Beaver County Airport. Dick was a loyal fan of the Steelers and all Pittsburgh Sports. Above all he was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Preceding him in death was his parents, and two brothers, Norman and Wayne Strouss.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Sara Strouss, a daughter, Stacia Strouss Grosso, Middletown, CT, a sister, Jane Worstall, Rochester, PA, and two cherished granddaughters, Katherine and Alyssa Grosso, Middletown.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 am. Private interment will take place at Beaver Cemetery,

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made if desired to Air Heritage, Inc., 35 Piper St., Beaver County Airport, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
