Richard M. Vanus, Jr.

Richard M. Vanus, Jr., 58, of Monaca Heights, formerly of Beaver, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, March 27, 2021.

Born September 25, 1962 in New Castle, he was a son of Richard M. and Louise McFarland Vanus, Sr., Brighton Twp. A 1980 graduate of Beaver Area High School, Richard went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1985. He had worked in sales for several companies, obtaining many positions including Vice President of Sales for Sharpe International. In his spare time, Richard could be found riding motorcycles, golfing, or cheering on the Steelers and THE Ohio State Buckeyes.

In addition to his parents Richard and Louise, he will be greatly missed by his special friend of 18 years, Sherri Small; sister, Luanne Wallace, and her husband, Kenneth Wallace; nieces and nephews, Jordan Pucel, Lindey (Timothy) Johnson, Kresten Wallace (Tori Springer), and Karter Wallace; along with a great-nephew, Theodore Johnson; and his canine companions, Milo and Simba.

Friends will be received Thursday, April 1, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 333 THIRD ST., BEAVER, where a Blessing Service will be conducted Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. A private interment will take place at Beaver Cemetery.
