Robert G. Dawson, 91, of Midland, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Celebration Villa of Chippewa surrounded by his family.
Born February 22, 1934 in Ohioville, he was a son of the late F. Glenn and Mary Dawson. Bob was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army, was a Master Carpenter with the Carpenters Local 922. A life member of Midland Volunteer Fire Dept. He attended the New Salem Presbyterian Church, Ohioville.
Bob had a great sense of humor and was always a gentleman. He loved playing cards, especially with his brothers. He enjoyed hunting and building jigsaw puzzles. His passion was woodworking. He liked to travel to Florida and being a snowbird. But most of all his greatest joy was his family.
Bob will be greatly missed by his wife of 68 years, Virginia Dawson: daughters, Sandra (George) Jonas, Industry, PA, Beth (Drew) Miladin, Center Twp, PA, son, Robert (Debbie) Dawson, Jr., West Palm Beach, FL., daughter-in-law, Patsy Dawson Pearce, Carnegie, PA; sister, Linda Lomagro, Industry, PA; sisters-in-law, Martha Dawson, Beaver Falls, PA, Norma Dawson, Beaver, PA; grandchildren, Tera Turnsek, Zachary (Stacey) Jonas, Robert (Jenna) Dawson III, Paige (Jonny) Rosales, Chase (Delaney) Miladin, Ryan Dawson; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Landon Turnsek, Gracyn and Joleigh Jonas, Hunter and Brayden Dawson, Sistine and Scarlet Rosales, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son Ray Dawson; brothers, Donald, Fred and Lloyd Dawson; and sisters, Bernice May Dawson, Hazel Givens, and Janet Petz.
Friends will be received Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 629 Midland Ave., Midland, PA where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11 a.m. Military burial at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
