Robert F. Eichenlaub

Robert Florenz Eichenlaub, 82, of Vanport Twp., passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at Villa St. Joseph, Baden.

Born February 26, 1940 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Florenz Eichenlaub and Anna (Matuke) Funkhouser. Robert was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church, as well as a member of the Teamsters and served for many years on the board of directors in Van Buren Homes, where he lived for sixty years. He worked at Beaver Supermarket, Standard, B&P Motor, Hydril, and US Air Catering. Robert enjoyed traveling through the years with his beloved wife, and will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving granddad and grandpappy.

Robert will be greatly missed by his son, Robert “Ike” (Penny) Eichenlaub, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Rachel (Carl Tate) Eichenlaub, Bridgewater, and Samantha (Andrew Helm) Eichenlaub – Helm, Brighton Twp.; great-grandchildren, Eva and Mackenzie Tate, Bridgewater; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Eichenlaub, sisters; Doris “Boots”, Betty, and Shirley; as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Sadie Cullen.
