Robert G. Hodgen

Robert Gerald “Hodge” Hodgen Jr, 60, of Hopewell, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 9th, 2023, at home.

Born May 2nd, 1963, in New Brighton, PA and raised in Beaver (Brighton Twp), he was the son of the late Marilyn E. Hodgen and Robert G Hodgen Sr.

Bob was employed for over 30 years with Overdimension Services Inc, based out of Morgantown WV. It was with OSI, that Bob became a human road map and could rattle off highways, mile markers and landmarks across the country with pinpoint accuracy.

A 1981 graduate of Beaver Area High School, Bob was a kind man that didn’t hesitate to help a friend in need.

Bob was an avid deer hunter and looked forward to annual trips to deer camp in the Allegheny National Forest where he most enjoyed the camaraderie and making of memories with friends and family.

Surviving Bob are his sister, Janet, a brother, William, both of Hopewell, PA a nephew and hunting companion, Chris (Kristen) of Brighton Twp, PA and a great-nephew, Hunter.

Per Bob’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of Bob’s life will take place at a later date.
