Robert Holibaugh

Robert Russell Holibaugh, 76, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully on December 18, 2022, at Canterbury Place Skilled Nursing Home.

Robert was born in Rochester, PA on January 5, 1946, son of the late John and Blanche Holibaugh (nee Mountain). Robert went by “Rocky” as a kid and to those close to him, and by “Bob” professionally. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1963. After graduating from Geneva College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 1967, Robert earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Penn State University in 1972. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force in 1995 and pursued a career in Computer Science/Information Technology.

Robert was an avid reader and loved books of all kinds. He was a true family man spending his free time with his family and beloved pets.

Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Holibaugh (nee Thorne), daughter Tonia (Edgar Cruz Guevara) Holibaugh Cruz, son Adam (Jennifer) Holibaugh, granddaughters Brynn and Miranda, grandson Alexander, brother John Holibaugh, sisters; Linda (Louis) LoMargro, Nancy (Donald) Albacker and Beverly (David) Pillar, many nieces and nephews, as well as his dog – Frostie and cat – Pumpkin.

Friends will be received Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
