Robert E. Nunamaker

Robert E. “Bob” Nunamaker, 92, of Beaver, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023.

Born April 24, 1930 in Chicora, PA, he was a son of the late Harry S. and Daisy Nunamaker. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War, he was part of the 128th Division-Fifth Army in Europe. A Beaver Area High School alum, Bob went on to attend Geneva College and Penn State University. He had a long career in real estate and insurance as a co-owner and Vice-President of the Bob Garvin Agency, Inc. and Director of Insurance Unlimited. Just as active in his community, Bob was a charter member and director of the Beaver Area Jaycees and past president of the Lower Beaver Valley Kiwanis Club and the Beaver-Lawrence County Insurance Agents Association. He also served on the Beaver Area Chamber of Commerce, Beaver County Board of Realtors, St. James Lodge, #457 of the Scottish Rite, New Castle, and United Way of Beaver County. He was active with the Shriners, Beaver Rotary Club, Meals on Wheels, and was president of the Beaver Valley Model A Club. Bob was a faithful member of Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Ohioville. where he had served as the Chairman of the Trustees, and most recently, Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver as an ordained Deacon and Elder.

Bob will be greatly missed by his wife of nearly 72-years, Patricia Garvin Nunamaker; son, Craig (Donna) Nunamaker; daughter, Sheryl (Robert) Stiles; sister, Phyllis Cooper; grandchildren, Katie Stiles, Craig (Sarah) Nunamaker, Beth (Greg) Metric, and Robert Nunamaker; along with great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Jacob, and Ellis.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Christy, and brothers, Donald and Charles Nunamaker.

The family will be holding a private gathering.
