Robert J. Richards, Sr.

Robert J. Richards, Sr., 86, of Brighton Twp., passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center.

Born October 2, 1933 in Youngstown, OH, he was a son of the late H. Robert and Kathryn Baker Richards. A resident of Brighton Twp. most of his life, Robert, as owner of Richards Construction, started building many area homes soon after his graduation from Beaver Area High School. Along with his family, he continued with his passion for construction, crafting residences and business facilities for over a half century. Robert was a faithful member of Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Brighton Twp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Evelyn C. Cable Richards in 2016.

Robert will be remembered by his four sons, Robert J. Richards, Jr., Timothy S. (Lea) Richards, and Daniel L. Richards, all of Brighton Twp., and Todd (Kimberly) Richards, Vanport Twp.; two daughters, Connie R. (Dana) Kennedy, Industry, and Susan K. (Michael) Shuster, Brighton Twp.; his sister, Ruth Hansen, FL; grandchildren, Katelin (Matt) Pauvlinch, Zachariah (Danielle) Bowers, Shilo Bowers, Sky (Ryan) Sebik, Danielle Richards, Ashley Shuster, Emily Shuster, Dr. Laryssa Richards, Zachary Richards, and Tori Richards; along with great-grandchildren, Nicholas Bowers, Christopher Bowers, and Violet Pauvlinch.

Friends will be received Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by his pastor, Reverend R. Martin Williams, Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Brighton Twp.
