Robert L. Stolz, 92, Chippewa, formerly of Brighton Township, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Elmcroft of Chippewa.

Born April 14, 1923 in Aliquippa, he was a son of the late William and Bernice Martin Stolz. Robert served proudly for six years in the US Army during WWII, initially as a paratrooper in the Pacific. While stationed in Washington, D. C., he was a guest of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Upon his return, he worked for 33 years as a structural mechanic at St. Joe Lead, was a former Post Commander and County Commander for American Legion Post 19, New Brighton and the Highland VFW, served on the Veteran’s Memorial Committee in Brighton Township, and was a proud contestant on the Price is Right. In 1998, Robert was honored by the American Red Cross for his dedication to blood donation.

Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ann Stolz in 1996 and two sisters, Margaret Klugh and Mary Jane Benson.

He is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Dan) Sparks, California, Susan (Frank) DeLuca, Bridgeville, a brother, Forrest (Patty) Stolz, New Brighton, a special friend of 15 years, Norma Deemer, Beaver Falls, two grandchildren, Anthony (Pamela) DeLuca, Shaler Township, and Christopher (Michele) Sparks, Colorado, and one great-grandson, Logan DeLuca.

Friends will be received Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment with full military rights by the Beaver County Special Unit will follow at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
