Roland Heil of Industry passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver with his son, daughter-in-law, and sister-in-law at his side. Born November 15, 1933 in Louisville, Nebraska, he was a son of the late Otto and Elvira Heil. He had attended the University of Nebraska working towards a degree in Industrial Engineering. Roland was employed by Omaha Steel in Omaha, NE for 19 years, was Executive Vice President of Miller Steel & Supply in Elkhart, IN for 10 years, and President of Littell Steel Co. in Fallston where he retired in 2009 after 27 years. During his time at Omaha Steel, he served two years active duty in the army artillery, having been stationed in Neckarsulm, Germany for 18 months. His wife Corrine accompanied him during his tour of duty and their son, Douglas, was born in Germany in 1957. Preceding him in death, besides his parents, was his wife of 62 years, Corrine D. (Wiles) Heil on May 22, 2017, a brother, Robert Heil, a sister, Marcella Hutchinson and a brother-in-law, Orval Robbins. He will be tremendously missed by his son, Douglas (Carol) Heil, Industry, a sister, Judy Robbins, Lincoln, NB and her two children, Terri and Michael, their spouses and children, a sister-in-law, Beverly Heil, Phoenix, AZ, and her two children, Randy and Lori, their spouses and children, a brother-in-law, Norman Hutchinson, Round Hill, VA, and his two children, Roberta and Kathy, their spouses and children. Friends will be received Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver and are asked to gather at the funeral home at 10:15am on Wednesday for a 11am graveside service at the Beaver Cemetery conducted by Father Bob Miller.
