Rose M. Kokoski, 96, formerly of Hopewell Twp., passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Beaver Meadows with her family at her side.
Born June 30, 1921 in Ambridge, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and Marianna Tagano Catanzarite. A resident of Hopewell all her life, she was a faithful member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. In her younger days, Rose worked at the Sante Fe Railroad during WWII, and for 10 years, at the former Anthony’s Cheese, Ambridge. A passionate crafter, she was well known in the local area, having participated in many craft shows. She had been a resident of Beaver Meadows, Brighton Twp. the last year.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband Theophile F. Kokoski in 2005; four brothers; and two sisters.
Rose will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her son, Charles (Kathy) Kokoski, Mechanicsburg, PA; daughters, Christina (Floyd) Switzer, and Celeste (William) Harpold, all of Brighton Twp.; and Clarissa Seeger, OH; grandchildren, Lisa and Jennifer Kokoski, and Stephanie and Lauren Switzer; numerous nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Margaret Robbie, Brighton Twp.
As per her wishes, a private visitation was held. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Fr. Robert Miller, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver. Arrangements are being provided by the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver.
