Roy J. Dove

Roy J. Dove, 81, of Ohioville, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 13, 1936 in Winchester, VA, Roy worked construction for Local 833, New Brighton. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping and will be remembered for playing Santa during the Christmas season. Roy was a faithful member and trustee of the Green Valley United Methodist Church, Shippingport, and an active volunteer with the Salvation Army. His greatest passion was spending time with his family and friends.

Roy will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Diana (Mandish) Dove; two daughters, Deborah (Stephen) Merritt, Ohioville, and Dorothy (Mario) Jacome, Midland; five grandchildren, Heather (Edward) Kelleher, and Ashley, Christopher, William, and Mario Jacome; two great-grandsons, Jordan and Brandon Kelleher; his brother, Glenn Dove, Monaca and a sister, Juanita Olson, FL.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. by his pastor Reverend Susan Pickering at Green Valley United Methodist Church, Shippingport.
