Ruth P. Morrow

Ruth Peters Morrow went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2019, 24 days short of her 98th birthday, with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons at her side.

Born January 29, 1921 in Evans City, she was a daughter of the late Verl and Lawrence Peters. Ruth was well known in Beaver as the owner of Ruth’s Beauty Shop, beginning her career as a beautician in 1939 after graduating from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She operated Ruth’s Beauty Shop in Beaver/Brighton Twp. until 1968 when she and her husband Earl moved to Clearwater, FL She continued her career as owner of Ruth’s House of Beauty, working until her retirement in 1985. “Aunt Ruth”, as she was known by generation of nieces and nephews, was a take-control person with a heart-of-gold. She was a longtime member of Beaver United Methodist Church where her daughter and oldest grandson were baptized.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Earl James Morrow, in 1994.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Marie Russell and husband, Richard of Beaver; three beloved grandsons, Richard “Russ” Russell and wife, Becky of Beaver, Ryan “RJ” James Russell and wife, Kelli of Wilmington, NC., and Randall “Randy” William Russell of Oakland, CA; along with three cherished great-grandchildren, Gina Marie and Jacob Richard Russell, Beaver, and Maxwell Alan Russell, Wilmington, NC.

Attentive to Ruth’s request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service celebrating Ruth’s life will be announced at a later date. Professional arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

Memorial donations in Ruth’s name may be made to Trinity Oaks Care Center, 160 Chapel Road, Beaver, PA 15009.
