Ruthe Neeley

Ruthe Neeley, age 95, passed away from natural causes at home in Brighton Township on January 29, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 12, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York, to Elsie and William Gustav Hollrock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Call Neeley, her son, Arthur Bruce Neeley, and her brothers, Jack and Bill Hollrock.

Ruthe was the first in her family to graduate from college and earned a degree in Economics. She met the love of her life, Arthur Neeley, on a blind date in 1948 and married him in 1949. When her first child was born, she chose to quit working to be a stay at home mother. Together, she and Art had four children, Bruce, June, Steven and Keith. Art and Ruthe were happily married for 56 years.

Ruthe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities through the years in the women’s and children’s organizations. She was known for her love and compassion for those in need and her gentle, loving spirit.

In her later years she developed a love of gardening and was known for her fabulous asparagus and raspberries. Her raspberry jelly was the best.

Ruthe is survived by her children, (Linda), June, Steven (Vicky) and Keith (Krsten) Neeley, 19 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 114 Church Drive MONACA, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 7 PM. Professional Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
