Sarah Saibeni, 94, of Elk Grove CA, formerly of Beaver, passed away December 15, 2018. She was a family member of long-time residents of the Beaver Valley area. She will be buried next to her husband across the street from the brick home her bricklayer husband, Biagio built at 358 Buffalo Street in the mid-1940s after he returned from WWII. Sarah and Biagio were married in 1944 and resided in Beaver until late 1954 when they moved to Ontario, California. Biagio continued as a bricklayer in Ontario, while Sarah enjoyed the challenges of being a wife, mother and homemaker. She excelled at each of these life roles. Sarah was known by her friends and acquaintances as a quiet non assuming person, who was always supportive of her friends, acquaintances and family members. In 1984, shortly after Biagio’s retirement, Sarah and Biagio moved to Elk Grove, California to be close their son, August, his wife Ann and grandson Ted. Sarah was a middle child, older sister Connie predeceased her. Sarah is survived by her son August, daughter-in-law, Ann, grandson Ted, his wife Irina, her younger brother Ben Thomas who resides in the Beaver area and many nieces and nephews. Sarah endured a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease that robbed her of many years of life. Her family grieves for what she bravely endured, but are comforted that she is now released from this horrible disease. A graveside service will be held on Friday December 28th 2018 at The Beaver Cemetery at 11am. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver PA 15009.
