Sheila R. Barney

Sheila R. Barney, 81, of Midland, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, October 23, 2022.

Born August 5, 1941 in Philippi, WV, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Ann Green Beohm. Sheila will be remembered as caring and compassionate, working as a nurse’s aide for many years, and recently, as a school bus monitor with Frye Transportation. She was a member of St. Blaise Parish, Midland.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Barney; her brother, Daniel Beohm; and sister, Darla Beohm.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Michael J. (Paula) Barney, Beaver, Bryan P. (Tammi) Barney, Midland, and Marcy (John) Sepp, Nashville, TN; brothers, Clifton (Ruth) Beohm, Charles Beohm, and Edward (Barbara) Beohm; sister, Shirley Rolley; cherished grandchildren, Chelsea, Caitlin, Griffin and Trevor Sepp, Meghan and Ross Barney, and Nicklaus and Sydney Barney; along with her great-grandchildren, Knox and Crew Reyes, Madelyn Trinh, and Avery Sepp.

Friends will be received Friday, October 28, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Blaise Parish, Midland. Interment will take place at Beaver Cemetery.
