Shelva Jean Hood

Shelva Jean Hood, affectionately known as Jeannie, 87, of Beaver, passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2025.

Born November 17, 1937 in North Sewickley, Jeannie was a daughter of the late harry and Frances (Partington) Wallis. She loved baking, cooking for her family especially on holidays and doing cross stitch. Before her retirement Jeannie worked in the cafeteria for the Beaver Area School District for 20 years.

In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Brooks; granddaughter, Jennifer Hood; son-in-law, George Ketterer.

Jeannie will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 68 years John (Jack) Hood; son, John (Susan) Hood of Monaca; daughters, Barbara Hood of Ellwood City, Judy Ketterer of Baden and Patti (Greg) Powell of Beaver; grand-children, John Jr. (Ashley) Hood, Jimmy Hood, Meghan Sperdute, Emily (Matt) Condio, Brittany (Austin) Leasha, Daniel (Baylea) Ketterer; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Freshkorn, Braxton Leasha, Logan Ketterer.

Friends will be received Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home Inc, 333 Third Street Beaver. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 26, 2025 at 11am at the Funeral Home.
