Shirley A. Baker

Shirley A. Baker, 77 of Beaver passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Friendship Ridge, Brighton Twp.

Born August 8, 1938 in Baden, she was a daughter of the late Christopher and Blanche Vulgris, had been a resident of Beaver most of her life, and was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver. Shirley had retired as a crossing guard in Beaver after 5 years, and cherished the job because of her love of the children. However, her favorite job was being a grandmother.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Allen D. Baker in 2006, and three sisters, Rhoda, Jean and Sara Elizabeth.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Richard Davis, her loving grandson, Derrick A. Davis, all of Imperial, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Robert Baker, Conway, and Eileen (Bill) Cahalan, Baden, and many nieces and nephews.

As per Shirley’s wishes, cremation services were handled by the Noll Funeral Home, Inc. 333 Third St., Beaver. A private graveside service will be held at the Beaver Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
