Susanne Lee Bridgewater

Susanna Lee Bridgewater (Edwards), 77, of Midland, formerly of Waterford, MI, passed away at home, Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Born October 16, 1947 in Ft. Dodge, IA, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Cecilia Edwards. A resident of Midland later in life, Susanna retired as a teacher’s assistant, working with special needs children. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Susanna participated in the VVA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Bridgewater; sister, Roberta “Bobbie” Confrey; and brothers, Leo “Butch” Edwards and Dewey Patrick Edwards, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Susanna will be greatly missed by her daughters, Christina M. (Christopher) Bader and Shelli A. (Patrick) Patterson; brother, Alan Edwards; sister, Pam Edwards; grandchildren, Shelby, John, Joshuah, Zachary, Robert and Rachel; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Logan, Averi, Quinn, Lucas, Sevin, Sunday and Shy.
