Susanne M. Gourley

Susanne M. Gourley, 79, of Hookstown, formerly of Beaver, passed away early Sunday morning, May 19, 2019.

Born June 5, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Helen Wilson Moffett. Susanne was a 1962 graduate of Geneva College where she earned her degree in Education. She retired as a substitute at the Beaver County Intermediate Unit. Susanne was a faithful member of Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver where she volunteered as a greeter and participated in community bible study and the history club. In her spare time, Susanne sold Tupperware and worked in ceramics.

She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of nearly 59 years, Jay W. Gourley, Hookstown; two sons, Paul J. Gourley, Beaver, and Eugene Gourley, Hookstown; two daughters, Laura (Kevin) Cook, Cranesville, PA, and Nancy (Terry Mack) Rooks, South Riding, VA; grandchildren, Sarah (James) Dobson, Caleb and Gabriel Cook, Matthew (Brianna) Cook, Abigail, Anna, and Elisabeth Cook; along with two great-grandchildren, Giavanna and Michael Cook.

In addition to her parents, Susanne was preceded in death by a grandson, John Cook in 2018.

A memorial service will be conducted by her pastor, Reverend Bob Goossen, Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver. Professional arrangements have been entrusted to Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
