Thomas Joseph McGeehan, Sr., 77, of Ohioville, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born October 28, 1939, in Midland, he was a son of the late Aloysius and Louise (Smith) McGeehan. Tom was a wonderful husband, father, and Pap Pap. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and was a proud member of the Midland American Legion Honor Guard. He was a faithful member of St. Blaise Parish, Midland. An avid fisherman, he loved all things outdoors and was the first to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Bonnie (Smyda) McGeehan; three sons, Donald (Joyce), David (Cheryl), and Thomas, Jr. (Diane) McGeehan; step-children, Sal Porto, Jason Porto, and Tracy ( Don) Porto Schubert; grandchildren, Donnie, Madison, Adam, Samantha, Abigail, Jacob, Lydia, and Tully McGeehan, Courtney Porto, and Mia and Donnie Schubert; a sister, Mary Sue (Dave) Kelly, along with two of his best buddies, Chuck Musser and Bernard Hartman.
Friends will be received Sunday, December 4, 2016, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the SCHWERHA-NOLL FUNERAL HOME, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, December 5, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Blaise Parish, Midland. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.
