Timothy F. Cilli

Timothy Franklin “Timmy” Cilli, 64, died on Monday, July 24, in the Heritage Valley Hospital, Beaver, PA. Tim hoped to win his battle with cancer, but it overwhelmed him.

Tim is survived by the love of his life, fiancé Nancy Kukich; his dear father, Edward P. Cilli; a brother, Edward P. Cilli, Jr. (Pete); sister-in-law, Cathy Cilli; sister, Christine Cilli Rose; niece, Kate Cilli Smith; nephews, Richard and Craig Hennequant; and many cousins, great nieces and nephews. Tim loved his family and enjoyed going to family picnics and holiday events, He attended a Timblin family reunion recently, despite being ill.

Born and raised in Midland, Tim was a lifelong resident. After an idyllic boyhood spent on the playground, the sports fields, and swimming pool, Tim graduated from Lincoln High School. After a stint at Crucible Steel, Tim worked for many years as a lab technician at Libertas (Hussey) Copper. He was looking forward to a happy retirement with Nancy and Booby the cat. He hoped to spend time in his garden and on the golf course.

Tim did not lack for friends and tributes to his memory on Facebook describe him as a truly nice guy. Friends mention his unassuming personality, his honesty, his soft voice, and his big heart. Tim loved to tinker and take things apart. Sometimes he would get all the parts back together again. Sometimes.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Cilli.

There will be no public visitation.
