Toni Sue Peabody

Toni Sue (DiRuscia) Peabody, 71, of Brighton Twp., passed peacefully in her sleep at home, following a brief, courageous battle with lung cancer, Monday, August 31, 2026.

Born June 20, 1955, in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Ramona DiRuscia. A resident of Brighton Twp. all her life, she worked in retail and enjoyed being a homemaker. Toni will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Dave Peabody, Brighton Twp.; sons, Patrick (Kristen) Peabody, Brighton Twp., and Jeffery (Sara) Peabody, Sewickley; daughter, Heather (Justin) Schmeider, Butler; brother, Keith (Marla) DiRuscia, Patterson; grandchildren, Justice and Liberty Schmeider, Butler, Sadie Rushman, Sewickley, Emmie Peabody, Sewickley, and Olivia and Mason Peabody, both of Brighton Twp., and her faithful dog companion, Fleury.

In addition to her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her brother Rich DiRuscia.
