Ty Harden

Ty Harden, 63 of Brighton Township, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

A resident of Brighton Township all his life, he was the only son of Jessie Burch Harden and the late Roy E. Harden. Since 1989, he was the owner and operator of the Beaver Valley Labor News, alongside his wife, Vicki. Prior to that, he worked with his parents at the 100 year old business. As a past president of the Beaver Area Jaycees, he was an active lifetime member. He was a beloved member of the community and renowned for his famous 4th of July celebrations. His big heart and big laughter will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding him in death was his father, Roy Harden.

Surviving, besides his mother, Jessie, is his wife, Vicki Hines Harden, his high school sweetheart whom he married on May 20, 1972, a son, Joe (Leaha) Harden, Beaver, a daughter, LeAnne Harden, Portland, OR, two sisters, Becky (Larry) Binkoski, Laurel, DE, Melissa Miley, Brighton Township, two grandchildren, Ava and Eliot Harden, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Lois Hines, Cranberry. He is also survived by his wife’s large and loving family, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 6 pm for a memorial visitation at the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
