Vera R. Konetsky

Vera Rose Gulla Konetsky, 89, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Brighton Township passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at The Pines of Mt. Lebanon with her family at her side.

Born February 28, 1927 in Beaver, she lived in Brighton Township most of her life, residing in Mt. Lebanon the past three years. Vera, along with her husband Theodore, were the retired owners of the former Thad’s Jewelers, Monaca. Vera previously worked as a supervisor with Bell Telephone upon her graduation from Beaver High School. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver and the Monaca Junior Women’s Club.

Preceding Vera in death was her beloved husband Theodore L. Konetsky in 2012; brothers Peter, Michael, and Ted Gulla; and her sister, Annabelle Hummel.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra (James Smith) Konetsky-Smith, Mt. Lebanon; one brother, Walter (Barbara) Gulla, Center Township; one sister, Helen Polanchak, CA; one granddaughter, Dr. Alexandra (Jason Demain) Smith-Demain, Ross Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 2 pm until 4 pm and 6 pm until 8 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial, conducted by Fr. Robert Miller, will be celebrated Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10 am at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver. A private interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
