Veronica (Ronni) Beth (Darnell) Guile, 23, of Rochester, PA passed away unexpectedly on October 22nd, 2023 after suffering a fatal blood clot to her brain. This tragic event may have been due to a complication with her brain, but she will be forever remembered for her complicatedly beautiful mind.
Born on March 5, 2000 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Ronald B. and Susan B. (McCready) Darnell, Ronni was an absolute answer to prayer (literally!) Ronni was homeschooled and graduated high school in 2018. She attended Geneva College– graduating Summa Cum Laude with a dual degree in Media Communications and Writing in 2022. There she met the love of her life, Michael Guile, and they married one week after their graduation.
Ronni found a career and employer that she absolutely adored right out of school with Portage Learning. She was in the process of continuing her education at Duquesne University, pursuing a Masters in Communications and Rhetoric with dreams of obtaining her doctorate.
Ronni was loved exponentially and is survived by her husband, Michael S. Guile, her parents, Ronald B and Susan B (McCready) Darnell of Beaver Falls, PA, her siblings Bert A Darnell of St. Joseph, MO Arden R. (Darnell) and Robert G. Pfender of Pittsburgh, PA, Samuel W. Darnell and Kaitlyn E. (Trenary) Darnell of St. Joseph, MO and her precious niece, and goddaughter, Lucy Beth Pfender and many adoring aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ronni was the most intentional, genuine and caring individual. She made a huge impact on so many lives in the short amount of time we had her. She almost always had a smile on her face and had a habit of attracting hurting souls and giving them joy and love. She often played mediator and worked hard to bring harmony. She rarely, if ever, raised her voice, using instead a pen to make her voice heard.
Her favorite things in life were her family, friends, books, coffee, biscotti, and most of all, the Lord. She was so much like the books she loved—full of ideas, of possibilities, and abounding in hope for a kind and precious world that reflected God’s love. Memories of her doing anything mean are nil, but she did have a sense of humor—painting her brother Sam’s keyboard with sugar water as a well-deserved joke. Ronni was always easy to spot as she loved color, bright patterns, and expressing herself through fashion. She was always true to herself. Her nickname was Ronni Bee, so when you see a bee, think of her. They both share sweetness with every living thing in their path.
