Virginia C. Benedict

Virginia C. Benedict, 91, of Brighton Twp., passed away with her family at her side Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

Born March 10, 1928 in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Pry. A resident of Brighton Twp. since 1955, Virginia had worked for 23 years at Public Drug Store in the Tusca Plaza, Brighton Twp. She was a faithful member of Bridgewater Presbyterian Church, and active in the Lioness Club, Brighton Twp. Virginia will be remembered as a loving wife, caring mother, and proud grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Peter J. Benedict, Sr. in 2002; and sisters, Shirley Gioia and Doris Moffit.

She will be greatly missed by her sons, Samuel R. (Daphney) Benedict, New Ipswich, NH, and Peter J. Jr. (Catherine) Benedict, Brighton Twp.; daughter, Pam (Gary) Pomaybo, Brighton Twp.; grandchildren, Samantha Benedict, Patrick (Sabra) Benedict, Jeffrey (Charity) Pomaybo, Jessica (Daniel) Matthews, Corey Benedict, and Jodie (Scott) Roberts; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda Roberts, and Avery and Harper Matthews.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a service will be conducted Monday, September 30, 2019 at 12 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Beaver Cemetery.
