Virginia M. Dillon

Virginia M. Dillon, 91, of Vanport Twp., passed away Monday, August 17, 2020, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Brighton Twp.

Born September 1, 1928 in Erie, she was a daughter of the late Harold G. and Grace Hoffman Avery.  Active in her community, Virginia was a faithful member of Vanport Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder and Deacon.  She was a past president of the Presbyterian Women’s Club, member of the Vanport Twp. Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, and the Van Buren Homes Auxiliary.  Virginia also volunteered at Tiny Tots, Beaver.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John E. “Jack” Dillon in 1996; and numerous brothers and sisters.

She will be greatly missed by her niece, Kathy (Lawrence) Wihelm; and special friends, Judy Snavely, Elsie Holman, and Elsie Schlack.

Friends will be received Friday, August 21, 2020, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver.  Virginia will be laid to rest next to Jack at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp.  Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
