Virginia J. Steel

Virginia Jean Steel, 74, of Beaver passed away unexpectedly at her home Thursday morning, August 23, 2018.

Born November 28, 1943 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late William and Jean Schmidt.  A resident of Beaver for over 40 years, Virginia could always be found volunteering with her children’s clubs and organizations, including scouting and assisting as a band parent.  She formerly worked in retail customer service at both Sears and Boscov’s where she was well liked by her customers and co-workers.  In her spare time, she was a gifted artist who expressed her creativity through ceramics.

Virginia will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, William W. Steel, Beaver; one son, Bryan (Melissa) Steel, Patterson Heights; her daughter, Susan Dunlap, Beaver; a brother, Paul Schmidt, CO; and two cherished grandchildren, Kylie and Logan Steel, Patterson Heights.

As per her wishes, a private visitation and service, officiated by family friend Reverend Gary Hilton of Chippewa United Methodist, were held in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver.  Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
