W. E. "Webb" King

W. E. “Webb” King, 77, of Brighton Twp., passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Son of Sarah (Basinger) and Wilbert King, Webb was born June 27, 1944 in Waynesburg, PA. He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army, having served with the 82nd Airborne and Air Cavalry during the Vietnam War. Webb went on to work for AES Corporation, formerly ARCO, for 34 years, retiring as a Maintenance Supervisor in 2000. He was a member of the Hookstown American Legion.

Webb will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years, Mel J. Bond King, Brighton Twp.; four sons, Michael D. (Angie) Johnson, Toronto, OH, Troy (Mandi) King, Fort Mill, SC, Gregg King, Washington, PA, and Mark (Angie) King, Upper St. Clair, PA; and four granddaughters the he adored, Sabrina, Sarah, Cassidy and Keirsten King. As well as a sister, Linda (Ron) Norton, New Castle, PA.

In addition to his parents, Webb was preceded in death by his brother, Russell “Buddy” Roberts as well as his beloved Uncle Leroy “Jim” Basinger of Monaca, PA.

Friends will be received Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A graveside service, with full military honors, performed by the Beaver County Vietnam Veterans, will take place Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial donations in Webb’s name may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, Beaver County Veterans Association, or the Beaver County Humane Society.
