Walter Fairweather, 90 of Ohioville passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 10, 1924 in Industry, PA, he was a son of the late Walter and Ida Deem Fairweather, and was a resident of Ohioville Borough all of his life. A veteran of the US Navy, he served during WW II, and was a proud member of the Midland American Legion, and the VFW, Chester WV.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was his wife of 62 years, Dellamae Adkins Fairweather in 2009, a brother Jack Fairweather, and two sisters Dorothy Thorne and Edith Rosser.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Mark) Speerhas, Ohioville, Terri Tepsic, Ohioville, a brother, Joseph (Charlotte) Fairweather, Carnegie, a sister, Mary Elizabeth Fraiser, Industry, five grandchildren, Melanie (James) Speerhas-Birmingham, Marni Speerhas, Charles Tepsic; Nicole (Joe) Strock; Lori (David) Johnson, great-grandchildren, Ella Birmingham, Cody and Hunter Johnson, Joey, Isaac, and Ayden Strock, and Austin and Lexi Tepsic. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland, where a service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry, accompanied by full military rites by the Midland American Legion. On line condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
