Dr. Walter Carl Kylander of Lake Mary, FL, formerly of Beaver, PA and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27 2017. He was born May 16, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA and was the son of the late Dr. Walter Carl Kylander Sr. and Marian Coombe Kylander. He was married for 60 years to his beloved wife Louise. He earned a DDS degree from The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, interned at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, CO and served in France as a dentist in the US Army during the Korean War. In addition to being a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, Walt practiced dentistry in Beaver for 40 years, was a member of the Western PA Dental Society, served as a Deacon and Elder at Park Presbyterian Church, was a member and past president of The Rotary Club of Beaver, was a member of the Sewickley Heights Gun Club and the Freemasons, and was an avid golfer at the Beaver Valley Country Club. He is survived by his wife Louise, daughter Sherry (Keith) Lorenz of Lake Mary, FL, son Carl (Marcy) Kylander of The Woodlands, TX, grandchildren Elizabeth (Lew) Robbins, Ed (Jen) Lorenz, Chris (Jessica) Lorenz, Claire Kylander and Evelyn Kylander, and great-grandchildren Vivienne Robbins and Isaac Lorenz. Friends will be received Thursday evening, August 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, PA, where a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 1.
