Wendy Reese, 70, of Beaver passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 28, 2015.

Born February 28, 1945 in Kerrville, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Lenora Rose, and had been a resident of Beaver for 44 years.

Wendy worked as a substitute teacher at New Horizon School in Brighton Township where she had taught since 2002. She also worked as the church organist at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Chippewa Township where she was active with Stephen Ministries. She was a master gardener and had proudly homeschooled her two youngest children.

Beside her parents, preceding her in death was her sister, Jacqueline “Sue” Bowman.

Wendy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Samuel E. Reese, Jr., 2 sons, Christopher (Stephanie) Reese of Mechanicsburg, PA and Rev. Matthew A. Reese and his fiancé, Kailer Gonzalez of Philadelphia, PA, and 1 daughter, Rebekah (Rev. Andrew) Troyer of Decatur, Illinois. Three brothers survive Wendy, David (Terri) Rose, Columbus, Ohio, Norman (Virginia) Rose, Hopewell Township, and Robert (Evalinda) Rose of Greensburg, PA, along with 1 granddaughter, Brookley Troyer. Wendy was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first grandson in December.

Friends will be received Friday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver. The funeral service and entombment at Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum will be private. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wendy’s name to the General Council of Assembly of God Missions, 1445 N Boonville Avenue, Springfield, MO, 65802.
