William H. Alexander

William H. Alexander, 85 of Beaver passed away early Friday morning, August 21, 2015.

Born September 26, 1929 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late William B. And Florence Jones Alexander. Bill was a graduate of Geneva College, a veteran of the US Army, and a member of the Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Ohioville. At his retirement he was CEO of Standard Steel Specialty, Beaver Falls. Bill was an avid golfer, an accomplished wood carver and wood turner, and the best dad ever! He was an active member of his wood turner club, and a crossword puzzle enthusiast. He was loved for his wit, wisdom and sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Brown Alexander, 3 daughters, Cindy (Michael) Brown, Columbia, SC, Annie Alexander, Beaver, Denise (Mark) Logan, Beaver and 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Evan and Alex Brown, Mallory Alexander Brucke, and Austin and Trevor Logan; brother Ed Alexander, and sister Emily Long. He is pre-deceased by his parents and sister Kay Blowers.

As per his wishes, cremation services were conducted by the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Funeral services and interment at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
