William Bryson

William G. Bryson, 75, of Beaver, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Born December 22, 1947 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late William C. and Jessie K. Moore Bryson. Bill was a member of the first graduating class at Seneca Valley High School in 1965. He went on to attend Penn Technical Institute where he studied television repair. Upon graduation, he went to Texaco, Houston, TX, where he worked as a technician on seismic boats in the Gulf of Mexico and off the coast of Alaska, looking for oil sites. At 26, he joined the U. S. Army, serving 4 years during the Vietnam War. He became an Airborne Ranger, jumping over 85 times during his tenure, and traveled to many parts of the world. Bill continued his serve in the National Guard for 4 years. After his military service, Bill returned to Texaco until his retirement in 1999. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing charity work for his church, working as an Uber driver, building Lego’s, reading about trains and listening to short wave radio.

Bill will be greatly missed by brothers, Gary E. Bryson (Deborah), Sugarland, TX and David A. Brailey (Carol), Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Jeanine K. Pittman (Dennis), Beaver, PA; nieces and nephews, Rachel Triscila (Tony), Kimberly Ferricks (Jeff), Abigail Gouldsbarry (Ryan), Andrew J. Pittman, Elizabeth Bryson Miller (Christopher), Alan Brailey, Adam Brailey (Anna). He also enjoyed spending time with his great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Pathway Church in Chippewa on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2 PM until the time of service at 3 PM. Light dinner to follow at the church.

Bill will be laid to rest with full military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville on December 18, 2023 at 2:30 PM.
