William C. Edgar

William C. Edgar, 87, of Beaver passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Elmcroft of Chippewa.

Born May 11, 1931 in Rochester, he was a son of the late William Leslie and Jane Mennel Edgar. Bill enjoyed a long career in education, retiring as a principal from South Side High School, Hookstown. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf and cheering on all Pittsburgh sports teams. Bill was a faithful member of Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver.

Bill will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 66 years, Marilyn Wagner Edgar; children Sally Edgar (Frank) Lucci, Aliquippa, Susan Edgar (Paul) Hoolahan, Wexford, and Sandra (Steve Tubach) Sargent, Slippery Rock; brother, Daniel (Judith) Edgar, OH; grandchildren, Beth (James) Stauffer, Frank William Lucci, Nathan (Cassandra) Lucci, and Erin, Casey, and Paul Joseph Hoolahan; along with five great-grandchildren.
