William R. Haag, Jr., 79, of Vanport Twp., formerly of Industry, passed away following a prolonged illness, Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Rochester Manor and Villa.
Born April 5, 1944 in Beaver County, he was a son of the late William and Mary Jane Deem Haag. William was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and had retired as a machinist with the Westinghouse/Eaton Corporation. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, crafting, and photography, with his favorite subjects to photograph being covered bridges and wildlife. William was an active member of Coachman International Camping Clubs and the Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Society.
William will be greatly missed by his wife, Charlene Densmore Haag; son, Wayne (Darlene) Haag; daughter, Marsha (Sean) Haag Viviano; brother, Daniel (Valerie) Haag; and grandson, Finley Viviano.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Haag Wellman, and niece, Tina Haag.
Friends will be received Friday, October 13, 2023, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville at a later date.
