William B. Mckeown

William B. McKeown, 75, of Midland passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Heritage Valley, Beaver, surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 16, 1941 in Butler, he was a son of the late James and Gertrude McKeown. A Midland resident all his life, he retired as a clerk at the Midland Post Office in 2007, after 45 years of service. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he was also an active member of the Midland American Legion and the Knights of Columbus, Midland.

William will be sadly missed by his wife of 14 years, Karen M. Prince McKeown; two sons, Michael (Patty) McKeown, Patterson, and Patrick (Heidi) McKeown, Papillion, NE; one daughter, Lisa (Freddy) Adkins, Midland; two sisters, Mary (Fred) Lightfoot, Cleveland, OH, and Maggee Sarkis, Boardman, OH; and four grandchildren, Veronica Wildermuth, Chris Feragotti, and Dylan and Corey Stoffer; along with two special nieces, Lecie and Jamie.

Friends are asked to gather at the American Legion, 800 Midland Avenue, Midland, Friday, May 26, 2017 at 5 pm for a celebration of William’s life. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 481 Honor Guard at 5:30 pm. Arrangements are being handled by the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, Midland.
